Just a little about me and why I chose to become a counsellor. Firstly I find people incredibly interesting. I believe that when it comes to living life, with all it’s ups and downs, we are all doing the best we can with the resources that we have available to us!
I also believe that, for many of us, some of our resources may remain untapped. That is until we come across an ‘obstacle’ or ‘problem’ that we know we need to overcome. That obstacle could be anything, as unique and individual as we are, it’s not surprising that the revelations and solutions which present themselves during my work as a counsellor in Stoke on Trent. Counselling sessions are always unique and individual. This is what makes my job so interesting and so rewarding.
I have a comfortable and confidential space in my home that is dedicated to counselling. It’s designed to welcome you and make you feel at home. My Counselling Practice is in the Meir area of Stoke on Trent.
As an experienced Counsellor I have a very flexible approach. When it comes to arranging counselling sessions, I understand that clients have to juggle their lives around to attend counselling sessions.
Therefore; I do my best to accommodate shift workers or those who already have a busy schedule. I will find somewhere in my diary for you, that I promise you!

About Me and my Integrative Approach to Counselling. Including CBT – Mindfulness, and various other Integrative Approaches.
An integrative approach to counselling means that I do not solely rely on any one method of working with individuals. Rather, Integrating a variety of ideas of how people can best be understood and helped, allows me to be flexible and to respond to your individual needs. In general, the way I do work is influenced by the following Counselling Theoretical Approaches – Person Centred Counselling, standard CBT, Mindfulness Based CBT (MBCT) and Attachment Theory.
